Job Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join us in our Winnipeg, Manitoba office.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical leadership in geotechnical projects and tasks, including the development and implementation of geotechnical field and laboratory programs;
- Participate with other Golder staff in client development as well as development of the group's top line within the Manitoba marketplace;
- Coordinate with other professional and technical staff;
- Prepare proposals and design work packages in response to client needs;
- Manage projects according to client-approved scopes of work, and deliver high quality reports on time and within budget;
- Mentoring and/or direction of more junior staff on projects.
Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering;
- A minimum of 8-10 years experience (post-degree) working in a consulting engineering environment at an intermediate to senior project management level;
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with APEGM;
- Mining, land development or transportation experience;
- A sound base in the application of geotechnical engineering to problem solving
- Strong written and oral communication (English) skills;
- Desire to provide excellent client service and a commitment to technical excellence;
- Proven record of independent work and ability to work effectively within a team environment;
- Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills are essential;
- Valid driver's license.
