Job Responsibilities

Golder Associates is seeking a Senior Consultant with an established track record of developing and executing projects and multi-phase, multi-site programs for private sector clients primarily in the environmental assessment and remediation sector. In this role, you will use your industry knowledge and technical expertise to grow and sustain relationships with new and existing key clients in the Northeastern U. S. and nationally. This position may be based in eastern Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire and will report to the Leader - Northeastern U.S.

The successful candidate will develop, maintain, leverage and expand relationships with key clients; navigate project challenges and align Golder’s commitment to technical excellence with the client needs, provide personal expertise and strategic oversight on technical assignments, and ensure profitable performance and superior quality, so as to exceed client expectations. You will also have the opportunity to use your leadership skills to expand a team of successful professionals in the Massachusetts location.

Responsibilities may include:

Serve as clients’ primary point of contact. Be a primary point of contact for matters related to Golder’s technical execution and expansion of services to key clients.

Project delivery/management. Lead and mentor Golder’s project managers and staff to deliver service and products that exceed client expectations. Negotiate acceptable contract terms and execute such.

Lead business development/marketing efforts. Lead and collaborate with Golder colleagues in market outreach, business development, and proposal activities to support growth of new clients/service areas in the Northeastern U. S. and nationally.

Operations. Participate in and contribute to operational exercises including staffing meetings, workload planning, annual planning and budgeting, and financial management.

Leadership. Coordinate with other Golder colleagues to execute identified growth targets; identify, coach and mentor staff to help them achieve their potential; and identify opportunities and candidates for growth of the Massachusetts location.

Visibility. Promote Golder’s profile through active participation in select professional organizations, conferences, and speaking engagements.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
* A minimum 15 years’ experience in consulting and engineering services with progressive responsibilities including proven staff management, business development and project delivery
* BS engineering or science required; higher degree preferred
* LSP and/or LEP required. Other license or related professional registration (e.g., PG) desired
* Strong technical investigation/remediation skills (including CERCLA and RCRA)
* Solid understanding of emerging contaminants and/or vapor intrusion projects preferred
* Knowledge of and experience in the Northeastern U.S. marketplace
* Exceptional communication skills and experience in making technical and business presentations
* Proven track record of successfully bringing in and executing profitable assignments for clients and building key client accounts
* Record of successfully managing projects/programs and delivering on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
* Ability to motivate others and lead teams in project pursuits and successful project execution
* Ability to oversee preparation of key proposals and deliverables
* Ability to represent the company to clients and teaming partners for business and contract/risk management matters.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
