Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide analysis, planning, input to design, and construction expertise for hydroelectric, mining, tunneling and civil infrastructure projects. As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will apply your geological/geotechnical skills and knowledge to a variety of projects.

Key roles and responsibilities may include:
* Working with Golder’s project teams clients and subcontractors to provide technical grouting support for a variety of water cut off, void backfill grouting, permeation, jet, compaction, contact/consolidation and cover grouting programs;
* Involvement in various aspects of proposal preparation, technical report writing, and project planning, analysis, design, and construction;
* The range of tasks could include performing cementitious or chemical grout mix testing, working with various concrete admixtures or solution grouts, as well as operation and maintenance of small tools, and air-pneumatic, diesel or electric-hydraulic powered piston, helical screw, or diaphragm pumps and batch plants of various sizes and dimensions;
* Literature review of novel injection materials or processes;
* Quality Control and Quality Assurance during grouting projects, site reporting;
* Assisting with preparing tender and construction contracts, and providing support during construction; and,

Significant travel is required in this position for project site work and construction management within North America and potentially internationally.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
* Degree in Science (Geology or Environmental), Civil or Geological Engineering;
* Must be registered or eligible for registration with APEGBC;
* Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent;
* 4+ years’ (or a Comprehensive level) of experience providing water management solutions for underground mine and tunnelling, dam foundation and mine reclamation projects;
* Experience with proposal preparation, technical writing, and project reporting;
* Experience with simple analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and drafting and modelling software packages (e.g., AutoCAD), is considered an asset; and,
* Experience with engineering design and construction management is considered an asset.
