The Redmond, Washington office is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to work as part of a team on civil, geotechnical and geological engineering projects. In this role, your duties may include:
* Conducting field investigations including logging of geotechnical boreholes;
* Providing field monitoring and testing for construction projects;
* Performing engineering calculations for the design of foundations and earthen structures, and preparing reports;
* Assignments may include travel to remote locations worldwide and outside work in various climates; and
* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
* Candidates should have a BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering and a MS in Geotechnical Engineering. The preferred candidate will have graduate level coursework in foundations, slope stability, retaining structures, numerical modeling, and earthquake engineering or seismic design.
* This is an entry level position. Minimal work experience is required with appropriate education. Work experience/internship strongly preferred.
* The candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and in groups.
* Candidates must be willing to travel to projects within the US and internationally.
* FE/EIT registration.

Additional desirable skills, experience and interests:
* Candidates with experience in numerical modeling programs such as FLAC or Plaxis desired. Knowledge of PYTHON or other programming language a plus.
* Field logging and sampling, laboratory testing, or experience with slope stability, settlement, general civil design experience, construction experience, rock engineering, and other geotechnical analyses.
* A willingness to perform a variety of assignments on short notice is valuable. Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD preferred.
