Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Risk Assessment Specialist to join our Environmental Group in either our Ottawa, ON or Dartmouth, NS office. The successful candidate will work within a team of risk assessment professionals across Canada, with the opportunity to assume increasing autonomy and responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Being responsible for product quality control with adherence to company standards;
* Assisting with human health and ecological risk assessments and site assessments;
* Assisting with data management, analysis and interpretation;
* Assisting with report and proposal preparation;
* Successfully interacting within larger teams, particularly contaminated site specialists and biologists;
* Developing your technical skills and sharing these skills with other members of your team;
* Participating in business development initiatives appropriate to your level;
* Managing tasks appropriate to your level;
* Participating in a team environment; and
* Learning about the consulting business.

Job Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Environmental or Biological Sciences, Toxicology, or related field;
* 2 - 6 years relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment; however, consideration will be given to strong candidates who may not fulfil this requirement;
* Preference will be given to candidates with experience in ecotoxicology;
* Background in environmental toxicology, biology, risk assessment or related discipline;
* Familiarity with environmental sampling methods;
* Knowledge of contaminated site risk assessment guidelines;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to speak French is considered an asset;
* Ability to work in a team environment; and
* Strong interpersonal, communication and innovative thinking skills are essential.
