Job Responsibilities:
Due to winning a number of exciting and complex projects and coupled with a strong baseload of work, opportunities have arisen for up to six junior level Environmental Scientists/Engineers to join the UK & Ireland Environmental Management and Site Characterisation & Remediation Teams on a temporary basis at our Nottingham or Leeds office locations.

These roles would suit recent graduates with a background and interest in environmental science. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or those new to the career field to gain experience. Persons with a limited amount of experience are therefore welcome to apply.

The assignment duration will be for approximately 6 weeks in September and October 2017. Exact dates will be driven by project requirements and will be confirmed during the selection process.

Key responsibilities will be office based duties in the field of environmental management (Environmental permitting, Environmental (and H&S) compliance and regulatory support, EIA, environmental due diligence, water and air quality, support to the wider key service areas) and site characterisation (to include supporting environmental investigation, designing desk-based assessments and site investigations for characterisation and assessment of land quality in relation to soil, ground gas and groundwater).

We are looking for strong communicators, who have excellent technical writing skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. You will have a minimum of a BSc or BEng in a relevant science discipline (e.g. Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology or similar)

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* BSc or BEng in a science subject (e.g. geology, chemistry, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental geology, or similar); MSc in a relevant discipline would be an advantage;
* Interest in environmental management or contaminated land and geotechnical areas;
* Familiar with current environmental legislation;
* Works with a high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail;
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team;
* Excellent time management and organisational skills;
* Able to lead and manage staff to deliver project tasks;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English;
* Experience in task and budget management to deliver project objectives.
