Job Responsibilities

Golder Associates is seeking a HSSE Coordinator to Implement and maintain Golder HSSE Management System requirements and support Regional HSSE Lead EMEA APAC.

H&S Business Process Coordination
* Assist the Regional HSSE Lead with implementation and monitoring of the requirements of company HSSE procedures
* Review and maintain local HSSE processes and procedures based on Global Mining and local requirements as directed by the Regional HSSE Lead
* Maintain HSSE Records in accordance with established company HSSE procedures
* Facilitate regular HSSE committee meetings
* Maintain a register of applicable legislation and monitor updates that may be published.
* Provide the Regional HSSE Lead with administrative support for the region as a whole.
* Be familiar with and provide assistance in the use of the various Company online tools and processes.

Project HSSE Support
* Assist project teams with the identification of project HSSE requirements and resources based on client HSSE specifications and Golder requirements
* Assist project teams with the preparation and implementation of appropriate project HSSE management tools
* Monitor project HSSE compliance through periodic site visits where appropriate
* Coach and guide project teams in the understanding and utilisation of the Golder Project Risk Tools as appropriate to the project in question.
* Coordinate consultants/contractor H&S audits and inspections to ensure that applicable company, client and legislative requirements are met
* Provide HSSE support to project teams through the entire project lifecycle from opportunity identification to completion

Training, Awareness and Induction
* Deliver periodic Company and Office induction training for new joiners and visitors
* Facilitate periodic emergency drills recording shortcomings and identifying appropriate rectification actions
* Deliver globally produced training as directed by the Regional HSSE Lead from time to time.

Performance Management
* Prepare and maintain an action HSSE action plan and track the actions to completion
* Monitor learnings recorded in the Learnings database ensuring that actions identified are closed out within stipulated timeframes.

Administration
* Complete administration activities according to procedure and within required timeframes.
* Facilitate and assist with incident investigations
* Analyse incident and learnings data to identify trends.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
* A degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or Occupational Hygiene, or other relevant field of study.
* Minimum five years in HSSE
* Legislation related to H&S field, e.g. OHS Act, MHS Act, Construction Regulations, etc.
* Understanding of Oil & Gas / Energy Sector (Advantageous)
* RCAT, SAMTRAC
* MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Pro / Visio (advantages)
* Own Vehicle anfd Valid Driver’s License
* Ability to travel within South Africa and Africa as a whole

* Provides technical HSSE support to all levels in the organisation.
