Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates Ltd. is currently seeking an Intermediate Ecologist to join their dynamic, growing, Estevan, Saskatchewan office. The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Coordinate and mentor junior staff;
* Effectively scope biophysical requirements, including leading field programs;
* Conduct environmental assessments for submission to provincial and federal regulatory agencies;
* Write reports and proposals;
* Manage, analyze and interpret data;
* Manage small projects or components of large projects;
* Work within budget and time constraints;
* Balance multiple projects and responsibilities;
* Meet clients’ needs by appropriately aligning regulatory requirements with project schedule;
* Have an ability to thrive in an atmosphere that requires cooperation and teamwork to provide quality, solution oriented consulting services to clients in Canada and internationally;
* Develop positive working relationships with clients, and develop new clients;
* Actively participate in health and safety culture; and
* Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

This position will initially involve working under the supervision of senior team members, with the opportunity to assume increasing autonomy and responsibility.

Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* University degree(s) in biology, ecology or related discipline;
* Minimum 5 years of experience in ecology or related discipline;
* Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and detailed report preparation and finalization;
* Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental consulting;
* Strong writing and communication skills;
* Experience in the upstream and midstream Oil & Gas sector; and
* Working knowledge of provincial (i.e., Saskatchewan and Manitoba) and federal environmental Acts and Regulations related to the oil and gas industry.
