Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our growing Hydrogeology Team in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities Include:
* Perform business development activities and manage client expectations;
* Take part in a broad range of technical services in the field of hydrogeology, including involvement in the groundwater component of Environmental Impact Assessments for the oil sands industry, baseline hydrogeological studies, mine dewatering projects, and groundwater supply development;
* Take part in and/or manage hydrogeological projects, including environmental impact assessments, dewatering investigations and system design, water supply investigations, source and disposal investigations and testing;
* Assist with the analysis and interpretation of hydrogeological data and preparation of reports and recommendations for clients;
* Mentor junior and intermediate staff in hydrogeology and its application; and
* Work with the existing Senior Hydrogeologists in our Edmonton and Calgary offices, with the opportunity to assume increasing autonomy and responsibility in the areas of project management and business development.

Job Requirements:
he preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Undergraduate Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline; a post-graduate degree in Hydrogeology, Geology or related discipline is preferred;
* 10 or more years of relevant and recent industry experience in hydrogeology and/or geologic investigations in Alberta;
* Eligible for professional registration in Alberta;
* Strong academic knowledge of local hydrogeology and geology;
* An existing client base and familiarity with the regulatory environment in Alberta are significant assets;
* Excellent work ethic with strong organization and time management skills;
* Experience managing projects and client liaison is an asset;
* Client and project delivery focus;
* Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and technical writing skills are essential;
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment; and
* Available for business travel and extended working hours, when required.
