Our Mine Water division has an immediate opening for a Senior Hydrogeologist in our Denver, Colorado Office with a minimum of 10 years of experience. This individual will lead field and office studies for environmental investigations and operational water management for the mining sector.

Responsibilities of the position include:
* Leading and managing field work and field data collection, data interpretation and evaluation, and preparation of technical reports
* Providing technical expertise for geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, hydrogeologic testing, geologic and hydrogeologic visualization, analytical and numerical groundwater flow modeling, development of conceptual site models.
* Managing project of moderate to high complexity, and writing proposals for new work
* Communicating with regulatory agencies and clients regarding project delivery and execution

Job Requirements

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* A strong academic background in hydrogeology, at least a Master’s Degree in environmental science/hydrogeology, geology, geosciences or similar.
* 10 to 15 years’ experience; with minimum 7 years in consulting practice.
* Experience in the state of Colorado related to mine operations and environmental permitting. Similar experience in the Western United States will also be considered an asset.
* Registered Chartered/Professional Engineer or Member of a related professional body.
* Demonstrable academic or consulting experience in hydrogeologic data collection, groundwater sampling, hydrogeologic testing and analysis, and numerical groundwater flow modeling.
* Proven experience and success working in the mining industry, in support of mining development and/or mine operations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with willingness to work as part of a group.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MODFLOW, etc.
* Willing to operate and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment, and willing to travel
* Valid driver’s license.
* Pass a physical examination as a condition of employment
