Job Responsibilities:
Golder is interviewing for a Senior Level Geochemist to work with our team in the Lakewood, Colorado USA office and globally. The successful candidate will support hydrogeochemistry-related projects and proposal efforts for the mining industry.

Responsibilities will include:
* Participate in a broad range of technical services in the field of aqueous geochemistry including impact assessments, baseline studies, feasibility studies, and water supply development throughout the world
* Design and conduct field investigations and laboratory testing programs
* Quantitatively evaluate field and laboratory data using a variety of analytical tools
* Formulate conclusions and recommendations, and prepare reports and presentations
* Work under the supervision of technical directors, with the opportunity to rapidly assume increased autonomy and responsibility
* Prepare proposals in response to client needs
* Manage projects according to client-approved scopes of work, and deliver high quality reports on time and within budget

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for hydrogeology and geochemistry, possess critical thinking and problem solving skills, be committed to producing technically excellent work in a client-driven environment, and have the following preferred qualifications:
* Master’s Degree in Geochemistry (PhD preferred) with 10+ years’ experience in consulting or equivalent
* Strong conceptual and quantitative skills in the evaluation of hydrogeochemical systems, with an emphasis on mining pit lakes
* Experience with industry-standard geochemical modeling codes (GWB, PHREEQC)
* Proven track record in environmental projects, with an emphasis in mining-related issues
* Solid communication skills
* Client management and business development skills
* Ability to complete high quality work and written reports
* Specific expertise in quantitative evaluation of acid-rock drainage related to metal mining preferred
