Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates is currently seeking a Pipeline Environmental Planning & Permitting Lead to work in our Calgary location.

In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a sustainable EP&P business for pipelines and linear projects in the Prairies & North and across Canada. A key function of this role involves direct interaction with clients, and with other Golder technical specialists in various offices around the Golder group of companies.

Responsibilities include:
* Serve as a practice leader in the EP&P business across the life cycle of project work;
* Demonstrate leadership in business development, project development and delivery. This includes strategic planning, proposal development, project management/leadership, client relations, senior reviews, team development and training;
* Work to connect and build relationships with other Golder staff engaged in EP&P around the company, through constructive engagement and collaboration;
* Support the development of integrated service delivery by identifying business opportunities with other Golder staff around the company who deliver technical services required by pipeline clients;
* Share your knowledge of the business with others in Golder through technical presentations and webinars; and,
* Contribute to a culture of health, safety and protection of the environment by being a role model to junior, intermediate and new staff and by giving industry and site perspectives to inexperienced staff which are crucial to ensure that safety is inherent part of the work we do every day.

Job Requirements:
* Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline;
* At least 10 years' relevant EP&P experience, preferable in a consulting capacity combined with operational planning and delivery experience;
* Business development and client service management skills with a proven track record of developing project opportunities and maintaining successful client relationships; strong existing client relationships and professional contacts are highly desirable;
* A comprehensive understanding of the various national, provincial, and regional regulatory bodies that oversee pipeline EP&P projects in the Prairies and across Canada;
* Demonstrated experience in providing strategic leadership, managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams, projects and preparing technical reports;
* Practice good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies;
* Have a good aptitude for using and understanding computer applications; and
* Have excellent oral communication and writing skills.
