Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Library and Information Service Technician to join our Library and Information Services team in the Calgary office.

Responsibilities include:
* Update and maintain the Intranet site including e-document management on a monthly basis or as required
* Catalogue and maintain journals collection, including subscription management
* Catalogue, label, and archive (when appropriate) project deliverables/reports; hardcopy and electronic
* Catalogue and label reference documents and books, including subject heading and call number classification
* Create records for E-Resource full-text subscriptions
* Develop and evaluate new resources
* Provide internal clients with training on LIS Group tools, such as research databases and the library catalogue
* Liaison with internal clients/ groups to identify and meet their information needs
* Conducts library orientation sessions and tours
* Assist with marketing the LIS Group services to Golder internal clients
* Assist in developing procedures and policies for LIS group
* Assist with the development of special collections
* Various QA/QC and data entry duties related to maintaining the completeness and integrity of the project deliverables/reports and reference collection
* Fulfill air photos searches for internal clients
* Ensure project files/documents are returned in a timely manner by communicating with internal clients.
* Act as a backup for Reference & Research Specialist and Knowledge Specialist when needed
* Other special requests/projects as required

Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Diploma or degree in Library Science, Library and Information Technology or related discipline.
* 2-4 years’ experience in a corporate or special library setting
* Being able to work in a team environment
* Familiarity with integrated library systems such as InMagic Genie
* Current proficiency in MS Office applications is required, experience with SharePoint will be considered an asset
* Positive attitude and strong client relationship skills
* Flexible and positive in a time of continuing change
* Good communicator, with effective verbal and written communication skills
