Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Calgary Office.

Responsibilities include:
* Participating in a team environment, working closely with Project Managers and Field Technicians;
* Scheduling of field staff and subcontractors;
* Compiling data for reports for phase I & phase II environmental site assessments, with special focus on Hydrocarbon contaminates;
* Completing project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements;
* Writing reports;
* Interfacing with client’s Project Managers to ensure needs are met;
* Working with the team to ensure provision of the support necessary for completion of projects; and,
* Working with, and providing support to, other members of the Division in sharing project management, project completion and client service responsibilities

Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* University degree in engineering or natural/earth sciences; Masters preferred
* 6 - 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments
* Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possess a safety conscious attitude
* Minimum of five (5) years experience related to oil and gas or transportation remediation project work
* Willingness to work in the field on projects as needed
* Ability to work patiently with and help train less experienced team members
* Strong interpersonal, communication and key judgment skills
* Preference will be given to those individuals with more extensive experience in groundwater projects, site characterization, remediation and reclamation

Depending on experience this position pays between $74,000 - $82,000 per year based on a 37.5 hour work week.
